I've just set up a blog on blogger.com:

And... I want to know how to get some followers or traffic to my blog.
I'm on Twitter too and plan on tweeting each new blog post.

I've looked at a few blogs on Blogger and many don't have a lot of followers - those with up to 200 followers had been blogging for about 5 years. I don't want to wait years to get followers, any ideas?

By the way, I plan on writing about school life, exams etc, maybe some stories and stuff to because I enjoy writing. I also want to do a guest blog (or as many as possible) to increase traffic to my blog or at least to be heard through my guest blog.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I made a site a year and a half ago and I update it all the time. The point of it was so I could write online movie reviews. Clearly I don't have a name like Roger Ebert but I thought overtime I would gain readers. That isn't happening. I posted my site here a few times but one asshole always reports me for solicitation. I'm sure one will this time too. I made a Twitter account that isn't going anywhere either. My site is ronspopcornreviews.com

If you think it's solicitation, go ahead. I pay for the website not to have ads and spam, and so it will be .com but it seems pointless now because no one is subscribing or visiting my site. If I get more traffic on my site, it would be a great help. Take a look at the site and you'll see that's it's not solicitation and if it is, all you have to do is exit out. I have nothing to gain by spamming anyone. All I'm trying to do is convince myself that watching over a hundred is worth it because someone actually reads my reviews. Take a leap of faith. I know you're cautious and I don't blame you because I myself have been spammed a few times and it's annoying but it's just a movie review website like rogerebert.com or reelviews.net.

Say if i start new, i will have 0 followers and if my blog is not known, i will have no followers sign up.

How do i break out of this?

Basically, I'm asking, how to use Twitter successfully?

I've been following the Dos' and avoiding the Donts', that is:
- I use for my enjoyment, sharing a piece of information that I heard either on mainstream media or alternative/independent news ...
- I don't have a brand or anything to promote yet... I'm still working on a personal website and blog that I will launch in the near future...so i'm using Twitter to build a community of followings + followers, then when my website is ready for publishing i'll have additional traffic to my website and blog.

people might say there is no such thing as a Twitter strategy ... I think there are!? What do you think?

On my Twitter, I have 1 follower, and I am following 5.
The 'follower' has 8,291 (following) and (10,818) followers
The 5 people that I am following have the characteristics:
#1: 24 (following) and 15 (followers)
#2: 27,208 (following) and 806,623 (followers)
#3: 10 (following) and 105,093 (followers)
#4: 512 (following) and 1,206,551 (followers)
#5: 155 (following) and 1,196,016 (followers)

Person #1 has the lowest numbers of 'following' and 'followers'... I've sent her a tweet 3 days ago but got no response ... figure that I should read her tweets and come up with an interesting tweet to send her.
The others have such large numbers of ''following' and 'followers'... perhaps I should just give up on them and find other people in order to tweet back and forth ... and build a community

How do i get followers and have people talk about my twitter page? I am in charge of the page for this company and need to increase traffic. any ideas?
